Khaled T. Husein, CCM – President
Khaled T. Husein is currently President with the Tri-State AAAEA and former Co-Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the 2016-2017, Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the 2014-2015, and the President for the 2012-2013 and 2017-1018. Khaled is the Vice President of the Construction Management Division at HAKS. A Certified Construction Manager (CCM) with more than 27 years of experience in the construction industry working nationally and internationally on both public and private sector projects. Khaled spent 22 years with URS and 2 years working in the Middle East for the largest KSA General Construction Contracting firm.
Nidal Elderamneh, PE – Vice President
Mr. Elderamneh is a Sr. Electrical Engineer/Project Manager at HDR Engineering Inc. His responsibilities include project management, oversight of Junior to Mid level Electrical Engineers, as well as business development. He is a current member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Standards Organization and Heavy Movable Structures (HMS). He is an active Engineering advisory board member at Passaic County Community College (PCCC). He is also an Adjunct professor at PCCC teaching engineering courses.
Mr. Elderamneh consulting experience includes the design and rehabilitation of movable highway and railway bridges. He managed multi discipline Movable Bridge projects up to $25M in construction value. His responsibilities include managing the design team, providing technical expertise, and communicating directly with the client.
Israe Zizaoui – Secretary
Mrs. Zizaoui has a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Ingénieurs en Informatique Automatique Mécanique Énergétique et Électronique (ENSIAME) in Valenciennes, France, and five years of professional experience in the transportation sector, which she acquired while working for internationally renowned companies such as Daimler AG and Safran Engineering Services, the latter involving major projects for Airbus.
One of Mrs. Zizaoui’s former employers describes her as a diligent, inquisitive and reliable professional who is engaged in the success of her organization and takes great pride in her work, delivering it on time and defect-free. Mrs. Zizaoui currently works for the movable bridges section of HDR, Inc. as a mechanical E.I.T. In this capacity she performs design work and assists with project management tasks.
Saed Elahmad, P.E.- Treasurer
Mr. Elahmad holds an MBA from Southern Connecticut State University and a B.S in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Connecticut. He has over 15 years of experience designing building electrical systems. Saed is a licensed Professional Engineer in the States of Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York. Saed is a certified Physical Security Professional. He has designed physical security systems for multi million dollar buildings, some examples of his work are the Bank of America Headquarter in New York City, Tower 7, and Crystal Bridges Museum of Art in Arkansas.
Magdy Elkafafi, P.E.– Education Committee Chair
Mr. Elkafafi is a Vice President at HAKS, with over 21 years of experience in the transportation private sector. Mr. Elkafafi graduated from CCNY with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering. He is an ENV Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) practitioner, trained to use the Envision™ sustainable infrastructure rating system as a guide to address triple bottom line sustainability dimensions in the design, construction, and operation of infrastructure projects. Mr. Elkafafi is a licensed PE in the states of NY and MD.
Naser M. Hamoudeh, PE,– Membership Committee Chair
Naser has over 25 years of experience in various positions within Engineering and Construction Management both domestically and internationally. As a design project manager with NYC SCA; he manages the design and construction of new school buildings and capital improvement projects. Prior to joining SCA, Naser worked as a Senior Project Manager with NYC Division of School Facilities.
Naser is a NYS licensed Professional Engineer, Certified Energy manager and Certified Building Commissioning Professional. He holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Riga Technical University.
Naser was a founding member of AAAEA and is currently a board member for a third term. He also served as a board member on multiple organizations. He is highly involved in social and educational activities in the community focusing on Engineering Education, Sustainability and Innovation.
Mouna K. Senhaji – Event Committee Chair
Mouna K. Senhaji, graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) with a master’s degree in civil engineering. She also holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Ecole Centrale de Lille, Lille, France, in systems engineering. She serves as a structural engineer in Jacobs Engineering Group at the New York Bridge Group working on national and regional bridge projects. She was one of the recipients of the AAAEA student scholarship in 2016 at the Illinois chapter. Ms. Senhaji has authored technical publications and provided conference presentations in life cycle assessment for highway pavements. She is also a young member of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Standing Committee on General and Emerging Pavement Design and member of ASCE Transportation & Development Institute (T&DI) sustainable committee. She was a major contributor to the Illinois Center for Transportation research team that led the Federal Highway Administration-sponsored “Life Cycle Energy Use of In-Place Recycle Techniques” project
